Marley was born and raised in metro Detroit and started doing theatre in middle school. She fell in love with acting and performing at the Starlight Theatre, a tiny community theatre now based in Waterford. She loved it so much that she later went and got her BFA in Acting at Michigan State University. While at Michigan State, Marley also fell in love with costume design and created a minor for herself.
After graduating from MSU in 2015, Marley moved to Philadelphia. While in the city of brotherly love, she performed in multiple professional shows, staged readings, and worked with companies such as Act II Playhouse, the Philadelphia Artist's Collective, Philadelphia Dramatist's Center, The Stagecrafters, Ethos Physical Theatre, and Simpatico Theatre Co. In Philadelphia, her costume career skyrocketed. She interned with the Arden Theatre Company and then went on to design 15 shows (in 3 years) with companies such as Passage Theatre, the Delaware Valley Opera Company, Simpatico Theatre Co, the New Freedom Theatre, New City Stages, the Friend's Select School, and Iron Age Productions. After being in the city for 4 years, Marley has moved back to Michigan and was the costume shop manager at Albion College for 4 years. She now freelances full time. Since returning to Michigan, she has costume designed for the Purple Rose Theatre, Meadow Brook Theatre, the Flint Rep, the Saugatuck Center for the Arts (formally known as the Mason Street Warehouse), Tipping Point Theatre, Shakespeare in Detroit, Albion College, Bay View Music Festival, Oakland Community College, Shakespeare Royal Oak, the Inspired Acting Company, Theatre Nova, and more!
